The "Pro Loco Torgiano" association, born in 1968 aims to join all those who are interested in promoting the social, cultural and recreational development in the territory, defending, increasing the value and showing the natural and artistic beauties; promoting the touristic appeal, providing guests with a pleasant stay, encouraging the improvement of public services, promoting exchange experiences with other associations acting inside and outside this territory.
THE ECOLOGICAL BICYCLE RIDE
Every year , on the 25th April, there is the ecological bicycle ride, organized in cooperation with the G.S. Torgianese, and a lot of people of every age take part in it.
The ride is an important date and an opportunity of meeting for all the villagers for the guests present in this period and for all those who reach the chief town from the neighbouring places.
The route, varied and relaxing, is chosen to assure a pleasant contact with nature through the beautiful country surrounding the village.
THE FOUR STEPS
Another important date is the walk through the hilly paths of the municipal territory which usually takes place in the first decade of May in cooperation with the group "Green Area of Signoria"
Along the route the State Forest Corps lead the participants to the discovery of autochthonous arboreous species.
At the end of the route there is a stop, always in a particularly suggestive area, for a meal with local products.
